Yesterday YSB’s Chair of the Board of Directors, Tanya Gracie, shared that our CEO Larissa Silver has decided to retire.
Larissa’s 10 years of dedicated service and leadership with YSB left an indelible mark on both our organization and on our community. Larissa’s approach to work was based on creating meaningful, positive impacts in peoples’ lives. While we are truly sorry to see Larissa go, we are also grateful to her for her years of service.
Larissa joined YSB as Director of Community Services, and then took on the positions of Associate Executive Director and then CEO. Everyone who had the opportunity to work with Larissa knows that she brought her very own mixture of wisdom, integrity, and sparkle to her work. Throughout her tenure at YSB, Larissa led with dedication, passion, and vision. YSB is one of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit agencies serving youth and families in this region. We are successful at what we do because of the devotion and commitment of people like Larissa, our incredible YSB staff, our funders and partners, and the Ottawa community.
Please join us in extending best wishes to Larissa as she embarks on this new chapter in her life and let us collectively look forward to the bright future that lies ahead for YSB.
