OTTAWA, April 10, 2024 — The Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB) welcomes the Federal Government’s announcement of the new Youth Mental Health Fund. This investment of $500 million will positively impact people’s lives. As an organization that works directly with youth and families seeking mental health support, we are keenly aware of the great need, across all communities and circumstances. “When youth have access to mental health services, they are better equipped to overcome challenges and develop the tools that they need for a better tomorrow,” said Michel Guilbeault, YSB’s interim CEO.

Working with our partners, YSB is committed to fostering a generation of youth who are better prepared to navigate life’s ups and downs, contributing to a healthier and brighter future where they can thrive to their full potential.

YSB is one of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit agencies serving youth in Ottawa. Our Mental Health services include a crisis line and crisis chat service, a youth mental health walk-in clinic, a short-stay residential program, and youth and family counselling.  We offer more than 30 programs and serve upwards of 3,000 community members every month in the areas of youth engagement, housing and homelessness prevention, mental health, youth justice, and employment.
