Danielle White

    Danielle is an experienced senior leader in the federal public service and is currently the Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Treaties and Aboriginal Government at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. Over the course of her executive career, she has developed particular expertise in strategic policy and planning, communications, program evaluation, governance, partnerships, change management and human resources. She has been recognized for public service excellence, specifically her leadership on values and ethics, strategic policy and people management, as well as her contributions to Crown-Indigenous relations. As the proud mother of two young women, she has been active in their school and sporting communities as a strong advocate for youth mental health, reconciliation and gender equality.

    Danielle holds a Masters of Public Administration from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Political Science and History from Mount Allison University and an International Baccalaureate diploma from the Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific. Originally from Nujio’qonik, Ktaqmkuk (the community of St. George’s, Newfoundland), Danielle is of mixed Mi’kmaq and settler ancestry, and is a founding Board member of the Ktamqmkuk Mi’kmaw Fluency Project.
