This year in Ottawa, more than 1400 young people will spend the coldest, darkest, and harshest months of the year with no place to call home. Sadly, the winter months are not the only battle for homeless youth in Ottawa. Many are suffering from trauma, mental health issues, poverty, addiction, and other challenges that contribute to homelessness.
Will you join us and be part of Stay Up Ottawa?
Stay Up Ottawa is YSB’s newest signature event (previously known as YSB’s SleepOUT for Youth) taking place November 26th in support of our two shelters and four housing programs for homeless youth. Over the past 8 years, community members and leaders spent the night outside to raise critical funds to prevent and end youth homelessness right here in our community.
Together we can show we see, hear and care about homeless youth in Ottawa.
Here’s your challenge: Stay Up one night, outside. Stay Up on your deck, in your yard or driveway. Stay Up with family, and encourage friends, neighbours and coworkers to do the same in their locations. Raise funds and awareness to help YSB house and support for homeless youth who need your help.
Donote today and plan to join us on November 26th to stay up and raise critical funds to support homeless youth in our community. Help make a difference in the life of vulnerable youth. Learn more at stayupottawa.ca.
We picked the date: November 26. You pick the spot. You change a life.
Stay Up Ottawa and help us find solutions to fight against youth homelessness in our community.
